Why is Q-Tel so freakin' incompetent?
(Just a warning -- this is a bit of a venting rant..apologies in advance)
How hard is it, when you're the ONLY phone company in the country, to provide accurate info to customers? To keep accurate records?
Apparently, it's pretty damn difficult, if Q-Tel's performance is any indication of the challenge level those tasks pose.
I ended up having to locate a phone number to one of Q-Tel's OWN branch offices on my own because not even Q-Tel had the correct telephone number. But do you think that stop them from giving me some different, random number when I called directory assistance twice?
Of course not!
I guess it's silly of me to expect the only phone company in the country to know what numbers belong to which companies.
What was I thinking?
Years ago, after a similar experience involving about 6 calls to "180" trying to get a business listing, I finally got an operator who gave me yet another different number who then told me that she knew this wasn't the number I wanted, but it belonged to a company that sold similar things, so maybe THEY could give me the right number.
No joke.
I absolutely cannot WAIT for another telecommunication service provider to get into this market because I will run screaming (and would even pay MORE)just to get away from the ineptitude and crap customer service that exemplifies Q-Tel.
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT UMMJAKE, I ALSO FACED THE SAME PROBLEM MANY TIMES AND I HAVE BEEN HEARING THIS FROM MANY PEOPLE, THEY ALWAYS GIVE WRONG NUMBERS. UFFF AND ITS SOOO FRUSTRATING WHEN WE DISCOVER IT WAS A WRONG NUMBER GIVEN BY THEM.
Relax buddy !!!
No I dont agree with you. Qtel is not that bad at all. They are doing good job. I do believe they can still increase there quality.
Offcourse they can not satisfy all the caller to 100%. But its unfair to say they are not good. I am not on Qtel side also and I am giving my judgement neutrally. Even me sometimes got wrong information but its ok.
Peace.
Its about time & patience... Qatar never faced such a problem 4-5years ago, cos there were hardly any human population. But now, well... people have poured in and the population has grown stronger, Q-tel didn't know that it wud b hit this way with over million request at a time. So... its all about a little more time and patience that might do the trick...
what's new eh....
what's new eh....
Chill my friend.
too lazy to update their telephone directory,
let us hope that vodafone will give better service and customer care...
