It's a dilemma, if you dont pay, you will never pas the test. If you pay your master, then you feel like being looted, but I do think you pay too much.

I gave my master QR200.- only for 25 days course, and he taught me all the tricks to pass the test and I pass on the 1st test ..

Since there is no strict laws regarding this looting, we just have to decide win win solution for our own needs, you pass your test and the master earn some money for his food (consider that as your "sadaqah")

I knew about it before I joined driving school here. So before the driver could start his sad personal story, I made up one of mine. And when you join driving school one of the first things the drivers will ask you is about where you work, what is your salary etc etc.

Start by telling you are either desperately looking for a job or that you are lowly paid.

If you have family in Qatar, you shouldn't mention it.

Not only the car drivers, if you avail their pick up/drop bus service, even that bus driver will be looking for money.

I was on a 40 day course. Used their bus service. Had absolutely no driving experience before. Passed on the first attempt and paid Qr 25 in all to the driver. And I made it seem as if paying that Qr 25 was like spending my life savings.

Most of these drivers are I think previously served as customs officers in international airports in india., so apply the same technique in here too. Make money some hook and crook. Zindabad.

My teacher asked for loan and i later realized, this loan is bribe-associated tricky loan for his wonderfull service exploiting my ignorance. After all they make some money coz they have to survive. It is all there in india in the international airport as a normal method of looting money by giving some chinky pinky reasons.

Well, we all are against their behaviour but have u asked their salary and duty hours. If you hear it, I think u will never complained about it

.

I think govt / driving school mgmnt must adjust their salary ranges according to QATARI market. Those poor guys have to meet both ends meet back at home that's why they are taking full advantage of new learning drivers especially.

.

At the end, none of us can do about it as all persons coming there for DRIVING LICENCE will ofcourse do anything to get PASS

Though I didnt pay anything to my teacher during my brief 4 days lessons....but normally they very less paid....(my teacher's salary was QR-700/-). So its always good to pay them some...after all they teach you the tricks of passing the test. Looting for around 500-700 Riyals is a bit too much. Normally people give them around QR-200 in equal installments of QR 50/- during their lessons.
