Please tell me when does the fasting end, is it tomorrow when Eid starts or does it carry on through Eid? We would like to BBQ at the beach but don't want to do it if people are still fasting.

The end of Ramadan is celebrated by the Festival of Eid ul-Fitr ("Festival of Fast-Breaking") and special prayers at the end of Ramadan. Eid begins with special morning prayers on the first day of Shawwal, the month following Ramadan on the Islamic lunar calendar.

During the month following Ramadan, called Shawwal Muslims are encouraged to fast for a further six days, known as as-Sitta al-Bay, or "the white six." and It is forbidden to perform an optional fast during Eid because it is a time for relaxation

Answer for your question is very simple. Sure you do not fast during Eid. You can eat and drink during Eid. In fact it is forbidden to fast during Eid for muslims because it is time to celebrate not fast. Your question should be when exactly will the Eid start which you will learn from the Religion authorities tonight.

Have fun

As per concerned authorities the possibility of seeing moon tonight is very rare so Eid will be on Wednesday. In this case the last day of fasting will be tomorrow. If they declare Eid on tomorrow which you will come to know tonight then today will be the last day of Ramadan this year.
