What happen with my Kahrama bill?
I usually paid Qrs 300, but I should pay Qrs 2800 for Kahrama December 08 bill because of 509 m3 water spending. I spend only 10 m3 on other months.
It is because the lazy kahrama staffs, they just check the meter every year, not every month? or may be something else like leakage or meter error.
I checked the water meter always running even no water coming to the water storage tank. I already complained to Kahramaa, they promised to solve this problem within 2 weeks. It is too long.
I will leave this love country if every month I should pay such big amount only for water.
i once got a bill for 1000 QR, when i paid the bill, i noticed the next month that my bill was in Negative!

anyways, they fixed their mistake and kept discounting from the extra that i paid
You can try taking the meter reading yourself on a monthly basis at the end of every month (say 25th or 26th) then call & give the readings to the electricity & water office near to you to update your meter readings
you can check the water meter reading against your bill. if there is a discrepancy you can take a photograph and go to Karhamaa along with your bill.
in such cases they usually send someone to check within a week or so. if they find you are correct, they will give you a rebate.
usually the reading goes wrong with they enter a wrong digit for the meter number while taking the reading.

you're not the only one having that kind of problem. about 3 months ago i only paid 10QR for 2 months, that's just the meter rent and then on the 3rd month i got my kahramaa bill which was around 300QR, which was not my usual payment for a monthly bill.
the kahramaa staff assigned to do the reading are either lazy, useless, just plain dumb or just think of some numbers just to show that they are doing their job!
