its gulf culture. they do it when they want to salute each others. like when we say hello :) but nose to nose salut is 100% from gulf culture and it shows respect..accodding to them but with the swine flu i think history will let it go :P

That is the way of greeting with high note, it can be differ from country to country, so there is nothing special to discuss about it, simply like shaking hands and hugging, so respect their customs....cheers

its called "Khashm"

u can say...arab(qatari) style of meeting/greeting...

they shake hands and also touch each others nose with their noses and kiss(not really..just da sound)

generally speaking...way of greeting.....

it s like when you kiss or saluate someone the same thing and the same meaning just here in qatar they kiss with nose it s normal
