Transfer of Wife's RP

I am about to marry a girl who is living in Qatar on her father's RP. So, after marriage I want to transfer her RP on my name. Is it a simple process, normaly how much time it takes, any experiences?
And what if I don't transfer her RP on my name before it expires?
