is it true that you cannot leave the immigration unless you settle your traffic fine, particularly a "RED LIGHT VIOLATION" of Qar 6000.00

You check in MOI if violation is registered aginst car registeration NO,you can leave but if violation is registered against yours ID# you cannot leave...better clear it.

going for vacation is not a problem its only when you go after cancelation of RP... you can be held for pending traffic voilations, bank loans, qtel bill etc

Red light violation is not like a silly QR500 fine.

Guys, at the beginning everyone was saying this, but personally i have tried it and no one will keep you at the airport to pay anything, i had a 500 Qrs fine and i left for my vacation without anyone stopping me at the airport! So now you can have my experience. the only way you'll be enforced to pay it is when you'll renew your ISTIMARA!

If the car is registered under your name, you CANNOT leave the Country unless you pay the violation.

If not under your name, then there is no problem.

You will be held at the Airport irrespective of the amount which is due for Traffic Department as fine for traffic violation.
