Teaching in qatar

Hello,

I have been offered QR6600 for a basic elementary teaching job in qatar K-12 schools. This includes all allowances.

Do you think it is a decent salary for the job?
I am single 23yrs and hold a MBA degree but zero experiance. What would be the living cost for me in qatar? like housing, eating, etc.

Are there any supliment ways of making some money on the side for teachers like tutions? are they worth the effort.

This is my first job overseas and have had a mixed opinion from my parents, i look forward to get some help from you.

With best regards

If you're sponsored by the school, and they supply accommodation, why then should you have to pay for a shared accommodation? Can you live in two places at the same time?

If you are going to be sponsored by the school, you will be entitled for a free accommodation so you demand for it before you take up the job. QR 6600 is a good salary to begin with since you have no teaching experience at all and the school will have to train you for the job. If you are a hardworking person the increments will come to you as rewards depending on the type of the school. You can manage a sharing accommodation and meals between QR 2000-2500 and save the rest. Give it a try and wish you all the very best.

@With your measly salary against cost of living here you will save peanuts if there's any. Why waste your time here when you can earn that meagre amount in your own country and living with your family? The green pastures abound in your country. It's up to you to discover and make good use of it.

After doing an MBA why do you want to get into elementary teaching job?

Don't waste your education.

The money is low and making money on the side is illegal.
