Summer work clothes

I am moving to Qatar in May and have no idea what to pack for work wear. Do women mostly wear suits (pants with long jackets) to work or dresses? What fabrics can you survive in during the summer months? I don't know if i should get all my clothes with me from America or wait til i get to Qatar to go shopping. Is it as expensive as Dubai?? My friends in Dubai tell me that they cannot even wear pants in the summmer because it is TOO TOO hot, so they opt for cotton dresses. Any ideas?

Look here the clothing is not so much different from western, you can wear whatever you feel like wearing on condition respect their culture (I mean not too much short skirts, and not too much topless)..as for the outlets there are some that even Dubai doesn't have, here you can find whatever you want...in the summer it might be hot, but you can barely feel it since whenever you go there are ac's and even sometimes during summer you have to wear a slight jacket since the malls are sometimes freezing....you will love it,a and welcome to Qatar in advance...

Work clothing, you don't need to wear a full suit.

You can got with a twin set, or a shirt with trousers.

Dresses and skirts are fine, but best to keep them at knee length of below....

Summer is hot, but the office during summer can be freezing....little cardigans help during the A/C blizzards.

Hi, where ever you work there will be AC, so you wont sweat, and again i dont think it is necessary to wear suits, you can wear pants with light tops. you can bring dresses too, but usually ppl dont wear dress at work. you can wear those for evening outing. Shopping for clothing in doha is just like Dubai as the outlets in doha are same as Dubai.
