Spouse Visa in Qatar

Hi,

My husband got a job in Qatar recently and i would like to join him. When we inquired about the family visa, we got to know that 6 months of bank statement is needed. As he is joining only next month, and will be on probation for next 3 mnths, 6 months bank stmt, will be a problem.

Can someone please clarify the visa rules/documents required? We are searching for the Visit option also. But not finding any information on net. Can anyone help? Any internet site which has the up to date information also will do.

Thanks,
Maya

When i applied for my spouse, i dont remember providing any bank statement.

Anyways, just ask your husband to get all the necessary documents from his company. THen go to the labour dept and submit. By 1 or 2 weeks time, he will get an approval slip if everything goes smooth.

Go to the immigration afterwards to get the VISA for you. THen you can come over with that slip for your RP application.

For how long can you get hte visit visa for? I came to doha on 1 month visit. Then extended for a maximum 2 months. They said they can extend mine to 6months, but not my 2 yr old son's! which is strange. Kindly clarify if anyone has come across this.
