Special son's visa

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am working as Road Q.S. Measurement Engineer in Ashghal – Public Works Authority in Salwa office near Whole Sale Market. I got my wife’s visa from Ashghal for joining me in Qatar. I have one special son (Mentally slow learner) who is 20 year old and living in India with my wife. I want to join him with me in Qatar. I have one government certificate of this son from India certifying him as mentally handicapped. He was refused visa by Ministry of Labour in Qatar. Please guide me how I can bring my special son to Qatar with family visit visa and the fees payable for this visa. Can I sponsor my son? I am having Qatar ID.

Awaiting your reply and guidance,

Regards,

Panchal Axay Bharatkumar

The law in Qatar states that you cant sponsor your son if he's over 18 or 21 (i think) if you are applying for RP, if its only visit visa then yeah you should not have a problem.

Hi - sorry you are having trouble bringing your son to Qatar. There are many children/young adults who have 'special needs' who reside in Qatar from other countries.

Usually no proof is offered nor asked for - so perhaps it would have been better not to admit your son has special needs.

I don't know if you can apply again for a visa but that may be worth a shot.

I will ask around and see if anybody I know can come up with any ideas for you.

Hope this helps and the best of luck.
