Vivek bhai...

I guess u r pushing urself on the offer a bit too much...i really dont think that kind of money is sufficient for u...forget savings buddy...u have to get them to offer u atleast 1500QR more to QR6000...if thats the case then u can do justice to ur move from a place like India to doha...

So think bout it...u need to get to that 5500 mark at least...

Schools and family needs will take the drain out of u...so think and decide...its never too late to work but at that rate...u might start finding things very very hard here buddy...

So take care...

Hi Stealth!!!

You are right, savings will be too less. I am enquiring in BPS, there fee structure says around 500 QR per month. since my daughter will be joining KG. but anyways thanks for your post.

Yes I am from India, Indore city , Madhya Pradesh.

Vivek you can have a life here. But savings will be very less. Indian schools( thinking you are an Indian) will cost you anywhere

between 350-800 Qr per month.

Hi! I really need your help. I am new in Qatar Living. I just recently signed an open contract for 1 of the big companies in Qatar. Here's my offer:

Basic 5,000 QAR

Guaranteed Bonus for 3 months - 3,000 QAR

Housing/Transportation - Company Provided

2 Way Ticket home once a year

I am single and will be working as a Marketing Exec. Is the offer okay

I don't think it's the largest salary you can ever get, but it's not really bad since accommodation is provided for you. In fact most of these that earn above 8000 have to pay at least 5500 rials for rent.

Not bad, and if your partner will also work, then wow..you can even save.

Don't you think it's a good idea to integrate your daughter into the local community and take her to a public school? The country has transformed the schools into 'independent' schools, many with full English curriculum and Arabic language. I think it would be a good experience.

All the best,

Gabriele

This is NOT at all enough to lead a family here in Qatar at this moment.

it just depends upon you and your lifestyle, well i think you can hardly adjust, in such 50 degree heat with qr4300 ,but i guarentee you you are not going to starve in doha.

if he have to pay the schooling out his salary i think he will be in trouble. Mind you schooling here go up 10 percents every year.

that out of his salary he will also have to pay schooling expenses for his daughter.
