Salary for a Building Architect in Qatar

I have received a job offer in Qatar as a Building Architect (for construction) with the following package:
bundle salary of 10,000QR, with 1500QR transport allowance, and a "Decent Flat" as mentioned. Food, mobile and other particulars will be on my own expense.

I would like to ask if I will be having my wife with me, how much will be an average cost of living for 2 persons (food, internet, clothing, medical expenses) and how much will be the probable saving I could make every month.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions and help.

thanks a lot for the info. I am recently working here in Bahrain. and planning to move to qatar soon. I guess it will be a good start. The company is an international construction company with a lot of branches all over GCC. so i guess it will be a good start to move and try another place.

If the company is giving you an apt make sure they are paying for the elec and water. Are they going to provide a telephone land line. All this can add upt to 1000 riyals. What about car? It is 1700 per month to rent one. Food for a family of four can run into about 2000 riyals or more a month. Cell phone just depends how much you use.

Is the apt furnished? What about airfare? Are they paing for insurance? I guess this should get you started. All the best. Where are you coming from? It might be nothing if you are coming from USA or UK but from other countries it might be alot. Best of luck.
