road transportation for personal effects saudi arabia to Doha Qatar?

we are moving from jubail, saudia to Doha, qatar in a month. my husband hs a new job there.we are pakistanis and he will be coming there first.has anyone ever transported by road?can you give an estimate of the costs?is it feasible to buy over there or move the things over to qatar?

it cost with some customes fees;loading:2200SR.
but be careful; if your ref.;washing machines are 60Hz; you cannot use it here; because here is 50Hz.

It will be cheaper to bring your goods from Saudi than buying here. Qatar is considerably more expensive than Saudi.
