I am working for more than 3 years here in Qatar with my family, I want to resign but I am 100% sure that my employer will not accept my resignation? As far as I know, we don't need to get there permission for our resignation as long as we inform them 1 month before the effective date ( correct me if I am wrong). My question is, is there any way not to accept my resignation letter? I don't have any loan from bank and company but my worry is how do we get our exit permit if he do not accept my resignation letter. Please advise me the best way to do because there is a lot of employees applied for emergency leave and chose not to come back in the company.
Can I get exit permit from labor department if my employer did not accept my resignation letter?
Please help me!
You have to submit the resignation letter 30 days prior the last date of working. Employer cant ignore it. If he is not ready to accept, go to the labour department.
Hey, Y dont U send ur family first and then U ask for emergency leave and just flee off & dont come... but if u r planning to come to Qatar once again.thn u got tofollow the rulez
Thanks a lot guys! I experienced this scenario 1 year ago when I tried to resigned and I really decided to go but during our conversation with my employer he don't like to listen to me instead he open a lot of topic which is not related to our topic. Last word he asked me when he can not convince me to stay is finish all my projects before I go and blaming me that maybe I did something bad in our projects that's why I want to leave, but it will take a year to finish all my projects. The reason why there is a 30 days period is to hand over all my projects right? (correct me if i am wrong). My wife is not working in the company, she is just under the company sponsorship, do we need to apply for resignation for her too?
make sure u submit the resignation letter for 30 days (workable days) and have the company sign on a copy of it for receiving it officially.
No one can deny ur resignation specially if u completed ur contract.
You should do the same for ur wife if she is also working in the same company.
sort the problem internally, if ot does not work, then approach labor dept. (they can't make exit for u) but they have their ways to force ur employer to release u.
there is no way they cannot accept your resignation as long as you give them one months notice period... so you dont have to worry about that... if things still go bad, report it to the labour dept.
that is my last option, but I am thinking that it will take time if I go in labor department, if that is the case, is it possible the labor can give our exit permit? My wife is under the company sponsor also and if I am right I need to submit a resignation letter prior to 30 days period as a legal process.
If you would like to explain your case to labor department about your company just have short visit to Labor department in their building and submit your concern and for sure you will get a good solution and positive result with exit permit.
