kindly advice how much "show money" is required upon entry to doha airport by one adult and one 3yr old child, under a tourist visa? thanks for the help...
As far as my experience is concerned upon entering doha i don't remember anything that i was asked for a show money though i also enter doha on a tourist visa alone. Show money depends on what country you were departing from. If you are departing from the Philippines alone, show money would be 1,4k dollar but upon arrival at doha airport there is no show many required.. just show passport. :-) But there is a tricky part when you are departing from the Philippines, there will be two airports, Cebu and Manila. In Cebu they really require all tourist entering doha with a show money of 1,4K dollar and Manila - my friend departing from Manila wasn't asked for a show money at all but he was ready for a show money just in case the same amount i have in Cebu. For families i don't know how much show money they need, i assume they need 1,5K dollar each.
I just got a tourist visa myself and according to the travel agency, a show money of Qr5000 (or its equivalent in dollars) is required. The last time I was there, they did not actually ask for any...but better safe than sorry.
It depends on the passport that your carrying. Friends of mine who came from Lebanon were asked about the amount of cash they had on hand and were required to show $1500. Passport holders of western and european countries do not require to present any cash.
Good rule, if you are part of the countries that could obtain a visa upon arrival at the airport, you do not have to provide evidence of cash. If you had to get a visitor visa approval prior to arrival, be prepared to present cash. This does not apply to working visa.
It actually depends. I have not come across any official document regards this. Also I was not asked for any show money when I came to Doha first. However I had carried about 100 USD and would suggest you also carry an equivalent amount.

I think no need to show any amount in Doha International Airport.
