In my opinion tht's not goin to happen soon coz when the rent goes down , the agents ( mostly real estate groups ) will come up with new ideas to increase the rent ( they wouldn't sit in their office for nothing , they will come and eat your brain )
do you think the increase in rents ( after 2006 ) came normally ?
there maybe a little decrease but don't expect much
& About the answer of your question than yes rents are decreased very much than past coz of extreme lack of takers. Anyways again im saying dont trust on any agent or ad by any agent. Directly go to the owner.
Rent Agents are the biggest mother fucker here in Doha. Dont trust them. Go direct to the owner u,ll surprized to know the rent totally different then what agent says coz once i talk to one of the rent agent and he said that owner gives them very good commission incase if they successfully convence customers to take the flat/villa more than the actual rent...

U know, dropping of 8000 rent to 4500 is not real. However, in some older buildings the rents have dropped to 7000 or 6500 max.
wow, if that would happen, i will surely move to 2bhk..
