Do not convert your salary into Indian ruppee and decide the offer is good or bad because the cost of living in Qatar is very high, but as a bachelor and with free accomodation I dont think it is a bad offer at all.

All the best

Hey Imran,

Have you worked in any other gulf country before or this is your first assignment in gulf? If it is your start is good but you will eventually need more. As per the lifestyle that you have discussed here, your aim should be sending atleast 30K (around QR.2840 approx) and then yo will end up sending 20K.

All the best !!!!

Dear Imran,

Considering you are still single, 6400/- with accomadation would be more than sufficiant for you. The only expense you will end up is with transportation and food which normally end up to Qr.3000/-

Dont worry about drinking, all you can drink here is water, juice and other cool drinks... You can't go anything beyond this, unless you don't wanna put yourself in trouble and turn your bum into RED with 40 lashes.

At same time, I would also like to warn you its extermely difficult to survive with this salary ones you get married. Housing is very very expensive here.

I am not sure which company you are joining, but ideally System Administrator post would be considered as Senior post and should earn you anything between 15k to 25k in reputed companies.

All the best for your future and you are most welcomed to Qatar.
