Qatar Airways

assume that you have opened a new account today in qmiles.com to join the privilege club and you have 0 (zero) balance in it.you can earn points by purchasing a ticket.

what will happen to your account if you didnt buy tickets from your ID to earn points?

what if you receive 1000 points to your account as a gift?it expires in one year from the purchasing date right?

how you spent the points (redeem)? I mean, can you buy tickets without paying a penny? can you redeem points to get the ticket free?

1point how much Riyals?or how many points to 1 Riyal? assume that ticket is 1000Riyals to my country.how many points do I need to take a free trip?

qmiles.com doesn't have answers in their FAQ's thats why i asked from you guys. ;)

you can't do much with 1000 qmiles.

For destinations like colombo and certain indian destinations you need 20,000 to 25,000 qmiles for a return ticket. And half of it for one way.

Most of all you need to call 44496449 the call centre of priviledge club in order to check availability first.

A gift of 1000 qmiles is not worth anything.

What do you mean by gift?

If you're transfering qmiles, then there is a applicable charge for that as well.

continued....

Even though I have mentioned free tcket. It doesn't mean that the whole ticket is free and you can go where ever you want.

You still need the necessary/required qmiles in order to obtain this redemption ticket plus you have to pay the Taxes!!!

So it's not completely free!!!

Plus there is a procedure as advance purchase or you have to pay penalties if your getting this Redemption ticket at the last moment.

After getting this redemption ticket also you are bonded with some rules that is incase of nosho the ticket is forfeited etc...

Hope you now have some idea about Qmiles and Qpoints!!!

Cheers!!!

well.

each time you travel, you must either give ur priviledge card number at the time of purchasing ur ticket if not,

Before ur travel date call the call centre and get it updated in the system against ur booking reference.

if not

at least within 6 months of the travel date visit the nearest ticket office and submit your boarding pass and priviledge card number in order to get the points and miles creditted to your account.

Qpoints help you to maintain your level. Ex: Burgundy, Silver or Gold.

Qmiles help you to someday get a free ticket to travel somewhere.

The Qpoints and Qmiles depend on the destination and the booking class of your ticket.
