Qatar Airways Salary

I got an offer to work for Qatar Airways as baggage handling system shift supervisor . at Doha International Airport . the offer is like this :
-Basic Salary 5.500 QRS
-Housing Allowance 3.000 QRS
-Transportation Allowance 500 QRS
it is my first day here on qatarliving
and i have got chocked when i was reading the posts here . and knowing the salaries of engineers . i have 5 years of experience in the same field at Cairo International Airport . i am a graduate of electronics and communications faculty of engineering . don't you think that this is a very bad offer ?
why Qatar Airways offer very low salaries like this ? or it is because i come from Egypt ? :D
if it happens and i accept this offer , do you think i can save any money ?

Unfortunately you will not be able to save much by any means.
If you are a bachelor, you can rent a room in a shared accomodation for around 2000 to 2500 QR/month.
You can pay more less for a lower quality rooms or sharing the same room with someone else.
If you are going to get your family here, then forget about covering your monthly expences with such salary.
Full accomodation rent can be around 5000 QR for a very ordinary small sized appartment of 2 bedrooms.
Bearing in mind that prices are gradually rasining up with the upcoming world cup football event in 2022.
If you haven't signed the contract, think seriously before you do so.

Life n qTar could be very expensive especially if you are coming with family. If single its enough for a person and to to save as well just a little.
