police case for swearing

hi,
a qatari has filed a police case againstt me saying that i cursed him etc. what really happened was that he got mad at my driving, blocked the single lane road for a bit and said things i didn't understand and i just waited for him to stop. he realized he was holding up traffic and so let me pass in front and then started doing the whole flashing lights nonsense. he wouldnt back off so i did this thing where i kept circling a tiny roundabout for like 10 minutes with him tailing me. he got super mad but left eventually. now this happened like two months back but the police hearing is tomorrow. what do i do? what can i expect? any help/advice/comments would be welcome.

teuton, it went well. surprisingly well. i went with my dad. he talked to a police man who knew english (and was sudanese). he told him that i was a student. waited a couple of hours for the qatari to come in (the great man was busy -.-) and i just accepted that everything was my fault. listened to a lot of bullshit and a lecture about discipline. but yeah, got off. i think it will be nice to play a sentimental act, y'know take a mom or a wife along. act naive. kiss ass a little.

everyone, thanks a lot for the advice and concern! cheers!

hey emil, how did this finish?

I have the same sh*t with a native, and apparently my apologies to him for something I didn't do were worth next of nothing - judging by his reaction, he got even more pissed.

so I have to also go to court.

please share some experiences.

Another thing , just dnt make it gets worst than it is already and try to appologize nicely even if it is nt ure fault , dnt argue with him or police much and am sure he will gets soft with ure appologize.. but if u try to argue with him and show him the red eye then he will show more power and things will gets bad ... power is nothing infront of tendereness. ...when tendereness is there power melt beleive me.

It can get very serious and you may not be treated fairly if you are not prepared.

Now you need a man with "power" (native qatari, with high level position) come with you to police otherwise you will be in trouble. and the worst case I assume you have already knew.

I am very sorry this bullying is happening to you. Do you know an Arabic speaker you can take with you?
