Penalty for not completing lease period
By mazumdar18 •
My lease for the house is getting over in May 2013.I have been terminated and need to leave the country in one month or so is the landlord legally entitled to deduct one month rent as penalty for not completing the contract?
It all depends on your contract. Most standard contracts have a clause where either party can give One month notice of evacuation.
If you show the exit stamp in your passport no penalties are involved this is the rule.
_This all depends on your contract.
Usually the landlord will let you get out of any penalities if you find a replacement for your property.
So you might wanna start posting and see if you have any luck.. This is the best way to get out of it.
But I have heard if your terminated legally you are not obliged to pay anything, but I am trying to get this confirmed... you might wanna look into it if the landlord is not being understanding.
Good Luck & Wish you the best where ever you may GO!
yes read your LEASE contract
read your rental contract,.it's in the one that i signed,.the use the safety deposit for that,. so you can bail out at any time,. only you loose the safety deposit,.
