No cold water

Hi all,

im happy to be "part" of this community right now cos this is my first post/question :)

Im new here in Doha and figured out that there is no cold water from the tap! Unfortunately it is hot very hot water :)

I dont mind for myself to have a shower with boiled water but i dont want that my 2 year old son gets burned during shower/bath.

Is that normal in that country to dont have cold water from the tap?
Any advice on how to cool down the water temp.?

thanks

Thats really hard to get chilled or cold water during hot season in DOHA..When i know that my baby showers by particular time daily, i generally fill the bucket in the morning which inturns get bit cool by the time her turns come..Yes,mixing ur gyeser water will also help u out..

I will not recoment u to use OPEN Mouth Bucket since u'r son is too small. Keep water in Bottle or keep off your Heater & mix with that water while shower.

Enjoy ur summer.

Yeah, it’s true...No cold water from the taps

Use buckets to store water it will be normal after sometimes or use geyser line (make sure is it already off) for cold water :)

During the summer turn off the hot water heater, it will be cooled by the AC in your home. Use that to mix with the "cold" water and you should be OK.

Basically, you'll be using the hot and cold water taps backwards once you turn off the hot water heater.

Because most water is stored on the roofs here, it gets hot in the sun during the summer. In other countries, the water comes through the water system underground (but not stored enroute) and the earth keeps the water cold.
