Hi Everyone,

I am a single East Indian in the late twenties.
I'll be coming to Doha in the first week of June.
Would request info for the following....

1. Can I get a good single accommodation [Preferably near British Council Office] for 1000-1500 QR?
2. What are the things which I should be aware of?
3. Do I need to carry winter jackets? And hows the price of the Apparel as compare to India?

Any further advice for a newbie...

1. Probably a single room worth QR 1500...

2. Not all pedestrian lanes are safe. They're no longer secured this days. Landcruiser owners considered it as main road inner lanes:). And don't trust Green lights for pedestrain crossings fully...

3. Bring winter jackets for the winter season. Clothes here are damn expensive:)

Apologise accepted TB and sorry to. for getting the hump. Recently I have enough people on QL calling a me racist pig, people reminding me of my true colours and so on.

There is even one idiot and I am sure he is reading this who keeps spaming QL with hatred and keeps on calling me names and swearing at me via PM everytime he gets a new ID, thats why I changed to a new ID, but it does not work so I am staying this time and let him take his little frustration out coz I am not going anywhere this time.

So no harm buddy I known you for a while now and you are one of the more tolerent and reasonable guys on QL. You should know from our mutual friend that I have no issues with Kabayans or any other nationality..

Milky I apolagise unreservedly. I was only having a bit of fun. However I can see that I have upset you. I assure you this was not my intention. At no point did I mention that you hated anyone. And it was wrong of me to imply that you may be unhappy with any race or nationality in another thread. I am sorry for any hurt I have caused.
