casual or fine malay/chinese dining can be catered by restaurants on mirghab streets. A good long street of exotic restaurants.

I lived in Indonesia and Malaysia for many years and went to the Malaysian restaurant in Souq Waqif, I have to say I was very disappointed, maybe we ordered the wrong food but it was tasteless and pricey,,,thats my opinion! There is a very good "Asian" restaurant in the new Movenpick and I found their dishes to be much tastier and authentic!

Good luck..
