Living with partner unmarried

Hello,

My partner is going to be moving to Doha in the near future. We are not married and I want to move with him- the visa shouldnt be an issue as his work are going to give me a working visa.

Will I be able to live with him without being married? Do people get punished???

Thanks!

Are you actually going to work for this company? If not, it's illegal for them to apply for/issue a visa for you.

Is the employer aware that living together without marriage is illegal and that by "supporting" that by illegally issuing you a visa, they too may have to answer some very serious questions?

People do live together here but they don't advertise it either to employers or their neighbours. It only takes one jealous/irked person to rat you out and everyone is in trouble. The authorities don't do looking for you but they do act on complaints.
