Anyone from Abu Dhabi? How is the cost living and lifestyle in Abu Dhabi? Same as in Qatar? Is there any forum like Qatarliving for Abu Dhabi? Thanks..

I am not expect to live in a villa with 2-3 bedroom. One bedroom with attached bathroom is good enough for me. Anyone know roughly a room with attached bathroom rate? BTW, is there any forum like qatarliving?

abu dhabi is just great in many levels. yes, sometimes there is a traffic jam but yet everything is easily accessible.the hotels are good, the beach is more than beautiful....lots of cafes and things to do on the beach.the accomodation is more expensive than qatar and saudi or even dubai.its fun to live in abu dhabi.i suggest you pay it a short visit and yet you can easily decide i guess

AbuDhabi cost of living is almost same, if you minus the accomodation, transportation and food ;) .. sorry jst kidding ..

but for a simple comparison, a 3BR excellent apartment in Riyadh will cost you 35K/year, in Doha 80K/year and in AbuDhabi 200K/year.

1BHK in AbuDhabi will cost you well above 80K/yr.

Paid parking, traffic jams are common; if you like to party AbuDhabi is not the same in quantity or quality as Dubai.

bottom line; if you can secure a good accomodation near KCA.Musaffah and afford to spend approx 120+ min back&forth you'd do fine.

some even prefer to stay and dubai and commute daily to Abudhabi.

try to bargain as much as possible for accomodation allowance & children education. rest you should be fine with.

I don't know abt you, but I left a quite lucrative job offer from AbuDhabi to settle for a medium scale job in Doha, for personal reasons.

good luck
