Indians, please help on customs info

I am going to India next week. So I would like to know the following:
1) Is there customs tax for electronics or any other items?
2) Is there a ceiling for the total value of goods carried?
3) What is the ceiling for the gold that can be taken?

Also any other relevant info will be appreciated.

Ther is a limit on the total value of things you can carry duty free.

I think it is 6000 indian rupees or so.. need to confirm.
