hi everybody,
Is there anyone who can help me to decide whether I should accept an offer in Qatar of total 12000 QR ( all inclusive i.e.accomadation allow, base salary, bonus etc). My family includes my wife & 2 children below 9 yrs. What is the rent for 2 room apartments

hi buddy,

better to have a heavy heart now, than come here and stress about how to make ends meet becaseu once the initial flair wears off, then it can get real difficult.

you have a good experience record, insha'allah something good will come to you at its own right time.

please keep trying.

all the best.

can you PM me your email id.

I can try to give you some contacts where you could apply. rest is upto fate.

happy heart

I have to agree with teh rest of the people at QL. If there is no free apartment, then it is lousy to work here, you will pay too much and get nothing for your $$. Stay home in India unless they give you free housing without bills.

murti....with 18 yrs experience in india, the 4000 basic salary is a joke. its ridiculous.

when do you have to confirm with them?

i think you shouldnt join too.

just wait a while, something better will come up.

whats the position...definitely not a senior position going by the basic.

do not leave so many years experience to come and rot over here, you will not like it, unless its a suitable position for your experience and qualification.

if you are really determined for a change, then come here by yourself, not worth relocating the kids with the kind of expenses here.

very happy to receive a warm response.

thank you very much for providing such valuable information.

the company is qchem. I have 18 yrs. of experience of chemical plant in India. the package of 12000QR includes base salary-4000, accomadation allow- 6000. Bonus is approx. 2 month base salary in a year. there may be over-time but I am not counting.eduation allow upto 4 children upto class 12th is not included in 12000QR.

feep in touch

Im a lebanese woman from Australia relocating to Qatar in June with my lovely husband and two beautiful boys. Noor 2 years and Zain 9 months..Are there any people living in Qatar who are from Melboure? I hear so many horror comments about rental and living expenses and boredom, an am worried now?/ Is there any hope from someone who has good news about Qatar?

It will be good only if you get a rent free furnished accommodation. If you get a vehicle for transportation it will be excellent with 12000 rls. Otherwise your wife should also get an employment for at least 6000rls. But be careful in choosing a good employment for your wife.

is 12000qrs the amount that will be in your account and is accomodation provided seperately.

if house rent goes from your salary then its not good.

a decent 2bed place is 5000 or more, you have to really the interiors of qatar to get something less than that.

so if 5000goes for rent, you are left with 7000.

groceries per week: 500, so 2000 a month

car loan: you do need a car, dont you? 1500per month

tel bills: 500 maybe, we usually spend 800

utilities: dont know.

school fees: mes indian school charges less, around 300 for tuition fee and doha modern indian school charges 570 tuition fees for KG and it increases from there, bus fees and others.

for 2 children:calculate school tuition at max as 1200-1500 per month.

general miscellaneous expenses:eating out, kids stuff:500.

are you left with anything much? i dont think so brother.

expenses of your wife, until she decides to work.

which company you coming for?

what is bonus included?

how many years experience do you have?

this doesnt look too good to me. try to negotiate with them to provide you with a place to stay, family accomodation.this is teh catch for most, becasue getting a decent place is difficult.
