i need different answer with my concern questions about my friend case... for cancelling visa w/o termination
my freind who work in her company for almost 10months now...first week of march she asked her GM if she can go to philippines for emergency leave because her sister died for cervical cancer and her unlce died for illness. and her boss told her ok u may go for your vacation.. so march 17 is my friend departure flight from doha to philippnes march 16 her GM call her up to come at his main office to settled her accounts before leaving, she go because she thought that her GM well give her some compassionate help and her GM promise her that he will provide a one way ticket..so my friend come march 16 at his office but she was shocked and surprised because her GM told her we are going to cancel your visa tomorrow morning..my friend so shock she go home crying... and the things are she dont give application leave,she dont have a copy of contract,and she dont have any agreement with her GM its only conversation... her GM dont give any termination of notice for cancellation of visa.
please any advice i would be apprecaited.i want to help my very good friend.

Hi Lyn! Sorry to hear about what happened to your friend. But despite your anger, you should control yourself in disclosing the nationality of the GM as well as him being a Muslim. Remember that we are in a place where 95% are Muslims. So let us just wait for the actions of the authorities. You really should sympathize for someone who have experienced this kind of treatment and also should offer help. But Anger can not get you anywhere. Just make sure to talk to someone who knows about this kind of case and will lead you to right direction to solve this kind of problem. Good luck!

only my friend mistake is she dont amke application leave only they talked verbally..and her GM agreed verbally also through phone conversations...on next sunday we are going back again at the labor for the last settlement! kabayan and friends out there we need your prayer to have justice for my friend for what Palestinian muslims did! he is not belong to islamic country and muslims religion because he dont have heart!
she have proof that her sister died and uncle died because she have death certificate that sent through email by her relatives...and medical records...she dont have copy of contract even she asked many times to her GM. and not only her who get delayed salary..all of them we really wnat complain so that our other kabayan well support also and prooved that they dont ahve 3months salary.and from the start of there work they always have delayed salary...but they are scared to complain because they are hired from philippines through agency..but my friend hired local because she came here as tourist visa.
yes pitty kabayan sorry late reply because my manager is here GM mean general manager...well the GM told the labor today that he lost a copy of the contract he cannot find he asked one week to provide or else they were retrieved it from labor copy...its really sad..yes they have power but not this way.he will not issue NOC also..its his right not to give NOC..but we have rights to asked the termination notice...its good for the palestinian that they got bomb because they are bad how i wish he belongs to those people who got bomb! i wanted to put a bomb on his butt so that he will go to hell from which he belongs!

I guess the question would be - did she break the contract by taking her vacation before her year was up or whatever was specified in her contract? I'm pretty sure that emergency leave is not included in most contracts but if her GM granted her the leave he should have stuck by his word. I wonder what happened to make him change his mind?
Just out of curiosity: What is this GM's name naser or somethin? i come to knw 1 Palestinian man who may act like this, he has left our organization after screwing it. Also i don't understand why dont she have contract n all? she should ve one copy no? anyway there is one copy in labour department also.
How pity kabayan, if the sponsor cancelled her visa all you have to do so that she can return and work here in qatar is NOC of the company.We have to accept ang baluktot na patakaran minsan dito that they have the right and power to cancell workers visa with or without knowledge of the employee..tell me more about the case maybe i can help.....God bless!!

but today we go to labor for settlement and her GM go there...but he did not provide the contract which is the labor asked him to bring so he just delays everything. but loose or win we will fight my friends right,at least she will go to philippines with justice...her GM is not human thats why during the grief moments of my friend instead he will help he added more grief..my friend lost her job,sister and uncle and her GM cut her future here in qatar! he dont have heart just like his fellow muslims!we filipina are very proud of muslims religion because they spent more time for praying to GOD! but this muslims palestinian man is a FAKE MUSLIMS AND HIS HEART IS STEEL AND STONE! march 17 he already cancelled my friend visa i did not go to my work but i asked permission from my office that i well leave one day for my friends case...then me and my friend got o labor and we complain...that time we have our hope because the qatari at the labor department told us..ok dont worry u have the rights to claim your compensation and u have rights to claim the benefits as your GM didnt giev you notice for terminatin the contract.. the qatari man at the labor told as just be firm,be stronga nd be consistent because here is qatar what is an islamic religion,and i feel sorry if thsi man palestinian who is a muslim also treated you like this he is not a pure muslims! then he told us just fight against him because u have the rights...
actually we try to beg her boss not to cancelled the visa but he really cancelled and he told my friend that i ahve power to recancel but i dont like you here in qatar..actually my friend wants to commit suicide after that shocking news from her GM..but i really help her and i read the qatar law many times and i think my friend have a rights to claim her termination notice one month before he will cancelled visa...because if he is not satisfied why he let the probation finished finished.. after the probation period u have rights to claim your termination if he is not satisfied with your work
I'm afraid that your friend's employer made a judgment that an employee who needs emergency leave before a completing year's employment is not a reliable employee and that he really couldn't count on her return. It's not fair of him not to tell her before hand but it could be seen as a reasonable business decision.
