Yes, hornet is right. There are some people who complain about things like kitcenware that is unuseable because it is cheap and nasty, or drains that smell, or that tenats have been instructed not to use toilet paper (the manager says that it blocks the drains and causes the smell, although of course we all know that he is a liar), or that the company tried to steal a day's pay when intructors arrive. It took 3 months of complaining to have the water pump turned on for one set of apartments. Of course the instructors that complain about these are labelled complainers.
Every man has his price Hornet, and yours was pretty low {paraphrased from Pink Floyd lyrics)
I honestly have to say that some of the instructors are calssified as "complainers". You can never please some people for one reason or another, as they manage to always find a reason not to be happy.
I can assure you though that these complainers have relocated from harsh economies where they pay high income taxes and so on. Anyhow, complainers will eventually shoot themselves in the foot as a few have done from what I heared.
There are over 65 instructors, and one should ask whay isn't there many complaints. a few bad and dirty apples should not spoil the rest, and should change one's decision to work with this company. I really and sincerely feel that the company is alright, and actually exceeded my expectations.
Good luck to you with Holmesglen Qatar. feel free to e-mail me any questions.
Hi, I also got a job offer with Holmesglen Qatar just four days ago. Please let me know their accredited agency here in Doha for the processing of my working visa. I would also like to know how long would it take to process their requirements/documents. Thanks a lot!
The job is OK but the management of Holmesglen are terrible. I am reluctant to call them liars, let's just say that their relationship to the truth is very distant.
If you need any support while you are in Qatar (and you will) the staff will just consider you a bloody niusance. If you complain about something, you are immediately branded a troublemaker. Instructors are treated like day labourers of little or no value.
The management will take every opportunity to take money off you to the extent of fabricating reasons not to give you what you are due.
If you are thinking of going to Qatar with Holmesglen, think twice
I too have accepted a job with Holmesglen Qatar and cannot wait to get there, I depart Australia in 15 days. From experience with Holmesglen Australia I am sure our experience will be a good one...Where are you from and what role did they offer?, I have the Security Instructors role...
