Good morning guys.
I'm a registered nurse but still I don't have a experience because when I got my license I immediately went here for a family visa.
Now, I want to help my husband so that we can save more money and settle to our country early, other thing is I am so bored here in our house.
I really want to practice my career, please anyone knows where and how I can apply as a nurse.
Thanks a lot guys...
Hi,im here in qatar now and actually we have same problem and im a registerd midwife. Now i have my own working visa.First go to national health athority (NHA) to get some list of requirments or application form and u have to fullfill all the requirments and submit it back to (NHA),because before u apply here in the hospitals or clinic here in qatar u must have a lisence here in qatar to practice your profession as a nurse they called ministry of health (MOH) license. And to be honest its not so easy to do that coz they ask lots of requirments,i do on processing now with my papers im notyet completed the requirments.
Just go to NHA first here in qatar before u do applying in hospital otherwise they will just rejected your resume if u apply with out lisence here in qatar.
YOU CAN CHECK ALSO THE WEBSITE OF NHA IN THE INTERNET www.nha.gov.qa So can inquire and for more information.
I hope i can help u on your problem.
I am not from Qatar, but I know that Qatar has hundreds Filipino nurses working for their healthcare. Meaning, our nursing curriculum is accepted. You are registered, so bring along all your TOR, diploma, et al and humbly present yourself to the employers (HR's) saying that you don't have any experience since you have to come to Qatar with your husband. Sell yourself and tell them that you are flexible, willing to be trained and most of all, hardworking. I have worked with directors that says they would rather accept a newly grad to train and develop rather than an experienced nurse who already has developed terrible attitudes. So keep that in mind. Now my advice, pick up the classified ads and start hunting; start visiting and dropping your resumes to hospitals. NO GUTS, NO GLORY!!!
In Australia, if you don't ecperience you will not get register. I don't know in here. But what I can say is go to all hospital including clinic and ask for any vacancy for any of Nursing Aid, Nursing helper, Enrol nurse positions etc. I don't think you will get registered Nurse position.
When you go there Recall your memory about what you had studied about Nursing. They might ask you questions to test about how much do you know it.
go to Hamad Hospital Human Resources Dept. and apply
