I am working for a leading Commercial Bank in Pakistan. One of the consultant contacted me and asked me to give my consent in order to proceed for the employment process.

But before that I just wanted to know the cost of living in Qatar.

I got very valuable info from this forum and looking forward for a sincere advice from the people living in Qatar. Also tell me abt the wages structure there... how much should I ask..

Please respond soon......

efforts, energy and nerves to find accommodation for these prices. Reality is : 1-br apt QR 6000-6500; 2 br apt - QR 7500 - 9000; 1 room is about QR 3000-4000, shared room is QR 1500...

has eff, don't forget the vehicle expense which is around QR 2000 if you rent and QR 1500 if you buy a car, not expensive one.

Good luck!

has_eff ..if the company isnot providing accomodation you are in deep trouble.

Not only the cost but finding a vaccant one is like searching for a needle in a haystack.... that is, even if you can afford QR5,000 to QR7,000 for a 2bedroom place.

You can get a stayable place for a minimum of QR3,000 no less.

If you are a bachelor you will be luckey to find a Room shared between 2 people with sharing toilet for QR1,200.

2 bedroom apt... nothing less than QAR 7000 - 7500 for a decent one.

Water/Elec... approx QAR 500 or even less depends on your usage

Mozaic TV (cable + ADSL)... QAR 250

Utilities... QAR 1000 - 1500 (depending on your food habits)

Dining out at leats once a week... QAR 150 - 200

Now you do the math... you're a banker right?
