Throw a light wrap around the sleeveless dress and you'll be fine.

Lol, Kukracha.. we are not so arrogant as you may think.

ignore duglas, he repeats what others advised you. Only he used some polished words. We also meant the same.

Qatarisun, do you want me to explain to you what OSCE is standing for? Just in case...

Thank you, Duglas, it is helpful to know that there are not all people so arrogant as seems at first.

Thank you, eveybody who answered. I am not yet there, just plan to come to work. I have read different stories and even started having doubts about sleeveles modest dress.

To qatarisun: First, FYI, Since Kazakhstan is going to Chair OSCE - geography is not that issue for you to worry about. Second, European ethnic groups do live in Azerbaijan.

Ignore birdie

That sort of arrogance isn't the norm around here.

Just dress modestly, covered shoulders, knees. Don't show too much cleavage.

There are many who don't follow this dress code respect of local culture is appreciated

such questions are trumpeted just out of neglgence or arrogance.

that "we are Westerners; and we heard Qatar is a fundamentalist country".

both arguements are wrong. the so-called "western" ladies should have common sense how to behave in a

non-western country.

secondly, Qatar is not a Orthodox, Fundamentalist country. It does have a quite liberal outlook.

For your satisfaction, please ask any of the western ladies working in Qatar offices.

Just common sense. Cover shoulders, knees and bosom.
