Has Workers Health Centres changed the Charges/Fees??

Dear All,

I went to the Workers Health Centre near to the Ministry of Energy in the New Industrial Area for filling my teeth.

My understanding was that it would not cost me much. However the Doctor said that it costs QAR50 for cleaning and temporary filling. He also advised that it would cost me QAR200 to do permanent filling after 2 weeks.

Is this true???

He said that this is a new policy of all Health Centres in Qatar.

I am surprised. I thought these Health Centres were for the poor workers.

Can anyone update me on this.

who ever comment on the hike of the charge should remind whether they paid the fee or not

Earlier, anybody could access the services at Worker's health centre. Now a health card is compulsory for registration and consultation. The dental services are no longer free, nominal charges came into effect from May 1, 2011. The charges are under review for further reduction soon.
