Be careful with the 3 year old. My friends 6 year old was on the camel with her mother and it suddenly dropped to its knees and she smashed into her daughter and she was knocked unconscious. The camel caretaker then was shaking their daughters leg as if to bring her back, she had to go to the hospital in Messaid, so maybe not the best idea for little ones. Her daughter is OK but it knocked the air out of her and could of been more serious. You just don't know what the camel will do.
Doha Zoo have camel rides during winter time.
Go to Sealine Beach Resort area. There are camels there you can ride (20-30 QAR) and you lil one maybe will find a "small camel to ride. Anyway the camel guardian/keeper is always aside from the animal while you ride on it.

You can go to Messaieed. We paid about 30 riyals and yes, your 3 yrs old can ride too..
