Expenses in Qatar
Salaam/hello ... I was wondering outside of housing, food, transport, education, and electricity what other bills or expenses are there to consider (before moving) ...
- About how much is mobile tele in Qatar? Do they have www?
- Do you pay for such housing bills as water, trash removal, waste water going out, gas (cooking, etc) or even housing taxes or fees or compound membership fees?
- About how much is car insurance?
Thanks alot in advance! =)
thank you Catherine and Nicol!
A lot depends on where you choose to live. Some flats include electricity and water, others do not. Trash removal is your responsibility - in that, you carry it out to the bin outside your accomodation. Waste water going out, free of charge.
No taxes in Qatar. As for surcharges on compounds I can't comment but can't recall anyone every mentioning being charged extra.
If you have a gas stove you will have to get a cylinder (about 200 QAR) and refilling it costs about 15 QAR.
Car insurance depends on the value of your car - you might check the QIC website, it might have info of use to you.
As for mobile phone charges - check on the QTel and Vodaphone websites to get an idea.
hi, mobile bill is not so cheap.. Q tel and Vodafone are there.
Most of the houses have cooking range with hot plate only..
security and trash removal is free in most apartments..
no such fees even electrcity n water and net is given free in some compounds with rent.. or bill will be around 300 riyal for electricity .. full time a.c is needed for atleast 5 months in the year.
car insurance cost, rented ones.. very affordable though someone else will help u with that..
