Hi
I am considering a relocation opportunity from UK to Qatar. I used to live in Dubai in 2009, and wondering how the cost of living compares now between these 2 areas?
Any suggestions on where to live for a nice 1 or 2 bed flat with good area and apartment facilities - pool/furnished? How much can I expect to pay?
Also, any idea on cost of car rental, or is it better to buy?

cost of living in Qatar is little cheaper than Dubai, but the rent in Qatar is still high as you need to pay about QR.6,000 for decent 1 BHK with all the facilities

Hello! I worked before in Dubai (2008-2010) and the cost of living there is quite higher compared here in Qatar. BUT I just heard from my friends last week that flat rental is lower now due to the economic crisis, while here in Qatar as I've observed lately everything goes higher due to its booming Economy. Confusing? Try looking for ADS and certainly you'll find a good flat. Good Luck!
