Some mellowed in their activities but those serving the needs of the government are pretty much okay.

Advise him to email his CV to me, my employer needs ASAP 4 civil engineer/inspectors for housing/infra project. We prefer those with GCC experience. Dont waste your time, selection/interview can be done in Manila by our HR Manager who is on vacation right now, and am temporarily handling the Doha requirements. We also need civil engineers for our Libya housing projec.

Kabayan,

Some of the contractors are affected & some are riding the situation, I have a friend in HR Department he told me that some employers retrench some of the employees and hire new engineers, etc. at half salary (Last year Engineers salary here in qatar is 10k above but right now 5k or less). If you have a good job offer here in qatar then go but if you go here in business/visit visa i advice you to stay at your current work wait for the economy to grow.
