Changing Timing Belt and Service of Pajero
Hi, I want to do routine service of my Pajero 2007 model and as it is completing 80,000km, therefore, need to change timing belt also. I called Mitsubishi service centre in Wakra and they told me around 4000-4500 will be the expenses, which didn't surprised me because I know these car dealers sucks always, specially if the car is under warranty. There is no fault in the car and just for the service they will charge this much.
Can you please suggest any other reliable place to do this service. My car is not under warrantee and therefore, I dont care who ever do it as far as it is good and reliable maintenance. What about tayseer, if they are good and cheaper than Mitsubishi.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and suggestions.

As for service, there are quite a few things to be done on your 80K service, e.g. wheel/ brake service, repacking bearings, re-torqueing the engine head bolts etc. If you were to follow the manufacturer's recommendations, there would be quite a few things more. Changing the timing belt involves removing the front part of the engine; that is, radiator, aircon condenser, cooling fan, fan belt/ serpentine belt, etc. etc.The advantage of servicing the vehicle at the dealer is that they know what to do, and furthermore there is a minimum quality of service you can expect; of course, you pay for that extra quality. In any third party workshop, quality is a big question. A few grains of sand in the bearing grease, and you would be bidding good bye to the bearings in a week. So, you see it's all about quality of work. There is no such thing as Cheap and Best!
Teyseer is good, but dont know if they change the time belt of ur car ?We have many good garages around, just buy the time belt of ur car from the dealer and take it to any of the garages they wil do it for u in much cheaper price.
