The govt. has now given ok to own land in a few areas in DOha prominent among them being Dafna, West Bay and Lusail but you can also buy them in other areas that are being given go ahead by the govt and they include areas like Al Mansoura etc. The range of the property however is being on the higher side with something about QR 800 thousand for a 800 sq. ft 1 B/R apartment to about QR 1.7 million for a 1700 sq ft apartment. Exact details needs to be checked though with the govt agencies.

As mentioned before, you can buy in west bay, the pearl and lagoon plaza and luseil. There is a lot of agents, the best thing to do is to look in the newspaper since a lot of them are now advertising the pearl. I would recommend you to buy at the pearl, i did, since its a nice project and you can move in by mid 2008.

I read an article about lands outside Doha open for expats. Now I am looking for the concerned department, but no luck
