I am assuming you mean areas to avoid as in areas where which are unsafe to move around alone, especially after dark and for females, in particular. In Qatar, I know of no such areas. I have driven back home alone from Intercontinental and Ritz to Hilal, at night after 12 and 1 , without any mishap. I have not heard of any incident where people were attacked/kidnapped in Qatar. Of course, I have not ventured into deserted bylanes alone, after dark. In any country, it is prudent to stick to known areas after 11pm. The chances of anything untoward happening will then be minimal.
but normally you have to avoid areas like souqs and City Center during weekends because parking is really annoying and aside from that it's too crowded :)
If u r a bachelor avoid Grand Hamad road, Old Arab Bank roundabout, Bidda park etc etc as you would be sent back by the police on Fridays considering it to be Family day.

Females: avoid walking in areas near the souqs alone, people pass comments....
Men: Ur as safe as can be if accompanied by a female
