As I read on some web sites, arabic people does not have the same rights as europpeans, for example, in Qatar!!!
I speak arabic of course, french, english and italian! I'll be looking for a job before leaving, so do you think that would be possible? I will appreciate more working with francophones, is that a way? Do you have a link for that?
If somebody please can help me understand how does woman leave in Qatar? Can I travel alone for example? or do I need a permession from my husband? Can I wear what ever I want? Can I go out and walk out side alone? I am sorry my questions are may be stupid but I need to understand how it works!
I really appreciate your help!

Thank you very much

Thank you all so much for these so optimistic answers!!!

I am so glad to hear that!!! I even had an answer in french!!! Great! I think I will like the country and I will not have any problem ...

Well, I still have one question though! Some of you mentioned that life is expensive, is anybody able to tell me what is the average earn to live quiet good? I mean comfortably good :D And maybe if you have an idea about salaries for position in accounting for example?

My husband hasn't left yet, maybe by the end of the month he is still negociating his contract.. I don't know when I am going to join him but we will wait before leaving definitly our life here ... I did that one and it's really difficult, at least for me :D

I really appreciate your answers

thank you

Qatar is very safe - you will feel at home right away. People are generally friendly and helpful and as a woman, you can wear what you like (modesty helps though!) and go out alone and so forth. You'll be absolutely fine - many people here are single/female/ ex pats from other countries and its really very easy to just fit into life here. Best of luck.

dear, its an excellent place both for men & women to live. all you need to live comfortably is a respectable package, as its a bit expensive place. U can do whatever U like; but "within" the norms of "acceptable" behavior. U can wear what u like, work, travel, drive, go out & drive, etc. - no HANG-UPS like in saudi (i know what U mean).

welcome to qatar!
