To be really honest, my last visit to Lucknow was when I was 8 or something. LOL. Let alone Lucknow, things are so bad that I can't even relate to Bombay anymore. Just gets to you after a weeks stay there. Too polluted, crowded and hectic to my liking. Yeah happy being a nawab here in Qatar! :)

Oh Shaan show was really nice apparently. Good review in the newspaper too.
I couldn't make it for it was birthday of a friend of mine. We went clubbing instead. KSA must be thanking his stars for temperatures to have dropped to 18 degrees only for that evening. Prior to which, it was hovering around 12-13. And guess what? We finished our own clubbing and after party by 5 in the morning and while getting back home it began raining and weather has been same since then. Can you imagine what would have happened had the floodgates opened 12 hours earlier? Someone's prayers certainly got answered! LOL
The turnout wasn't good, thats what he told me, pre-sales were affected by bad weather. But Shaan being a great performer that he is, it went really well, without any hitch too.
like how many girls you dated etc etc. If you people can inform us that you are happily married which you wouldnt be saying if you were, can you tell us more about your lives. Well i would talk about the differences. In India everthing is possible other than Qatar. India there are multilanguages and even though we dont face probs. But qatar i think arabic is the must language we should learn. Regarding food i would give example of (snacks)batata vada of bombay and pani kam tea. You would never get this here in any part of Qatar. Same here is the food as well comparatively bombay i dont get the taste as per menu. Yesterday i ate Hyderabadi chicken in Maharaja hotel which seems to be in good taste and spicy. but i didnt get the taste as well. Well if anyone knows any hotel having the taste of bombay food so please write.

Not to worry much, if ur planning to move here. U will need, 2500-3000 QR for a sharing accomidation or if u need a single bed room flat (with family)u need to have atleast 4500 - 5000. Even I am new to this place & was wondering how much wud be sufficent to start up. Reading to many blogs & browsing on net might often confuse u, which actually happened in my case.
Practically, all U need is: Room rent as above, 1500 QR for ur food (if ur single) & 2500 QR (if ur with family)This includes even ur house hold expenses, For travel maximum of 1000QR & entertainment u may consider another 1000QR. Rest whatever u get is savings.... Even medical is not expensive. All u need to do is register urself in the gov hopitals here & they provide u consultation & medicnes at subsidised rates....

I say you should make about 0.6 X Riyals...

the food is almost similar bcos you can get almost any thing Indian from the supermarkets
of course when you are eating out, depending on which part of India you are from there are a few options
As far as social life is concerned its kind of limited compared to India
theres little or no interaction with the neighbours...
there are some social gatherings like ICC, but most people socialize with the crowd from their respective offices
But Qatar is more liked by families rather than spinsters or bachelors
As far as expenses are concerned, the groceries will work out the same...
but the rental is crazy, you will have to pay a rent which equates to about 4000 QAR per bedroom for flats and 5000 per bedroom for villas.
ie. if its a two bedroom flat, the rent would be 8000 QAR etc...
The phone bill, electricity and water bill can also make you sweat a bit more than in India
i am from bihar wanna date a bihari rayyz stay away i know u will jump in from some where :D
