If you click 'doha areas' on the left you can then click which areas you want to display.
However, according to that AL DAFNA is a small thin strip running along the Corniche, while AL QASSAR covers where I live and also Aladdin's Kingdom and where you live is either AL JEBAILET or ONAIZA.
tallg, well I live somewhere in the middle of TV roundabout and carrefour. This is dafna, and my work place is like 5 min drive from my home and that is in west bay area near aladdin kingdom...that's all i know...
Well I'm confused then! I live in Beverly Hills Tower (near the Movenpick) and the address is Al Dafna, but surely that area it's also classed as West Bay?
no no, it's not just the sky scraper area. Residential area too, plus most of the embassies are in the residential area not in the sky scraper area.
Westbay passes the exhibition area and to the left there's a residential. Continue moving there are traffic lights. Go right or left and you're still in westbay :)

is an area wherein most of the hi-tech, tallest, elegant & sophisticated commercial/ residential buildings or towers and hotels in qatar are located ...other towers or buildings are still under construction.
West Bay is a good location to live, apart from all the construction work. It's noisy, dangerous and dusty.
And if you have to use the road in front of City Center to get to/from your home then the traffic can drive you mad. Truly the most ridiculous road setup ever.
I lived over by the airport for a few years and now live in West Bay. I much prefer West Bay due to very little traffic. I can zip to City Center or Landmark and back (early morning) and there is no traffic. I hated always being stuck on D ring and C ring roads morning, noon, night over on that side of town. One downside is the construction over here (lots of trucks due to the Pearl and Lusail projects) plus even more sand sand and more sand blowing into the house/ onto the car. But I'll take those over the traffic jams any day.
The Westbay area I think is nicer than others but is quickly becoming too polluted and dangerous due to all the projects near by and all the downtown towers. I am sure many of the residential areas near the towers will be torn down as the downtown area expands. Its unfortunate the planning is lousy here 4 schools behind one residential area and businesses are allowed in residential areas wish they would keep them residential! It depends on where you work if you work at Ras Laffan you best live on the north side of town or take an hour to get across Doha.

whoami - what is classed as the residential area of West Bay? I thought West Bay just covered the sky scraper area, where the embassies are.
I live there, I want to correct Eve. There is only contruction and noise near the skyscrapers.
There is hardly any in the residential area.
Very nice area for sure
