I will traveling back home for a short brake.
question is: has anyone of you tried to bring your regulator/octo... ???
i was wondering if their is any restriction in Doha Immigration about caring a regulator on my hand carry.. please advice.

The regulator is prohibited in the hand bag (hand carry). It will be confiscated. Put it in a strong box with styros in all sides, then include it in the bagage before you check in.
