Salam/Hi
Though we can not do anything but we can post ideas and suggestions here so maybe some one who is responsible to control this may came to know about this problem and try to solve this
---------------

Anyways there are some famous roads in which traffic is in bulk like ''Ramada road & signal'' , ''Alsaad road'' ''Salwa road'' & specially Sanaya
Believe me it takes more than hour sometimes to reach our destination in case we have to go through these roads i have mention & which is very painful and what about the peoples who have any kind of emergeny and have no time to waste in traffic means getting late from schools , colleges, offices , meeting or any other emergeny????? its a big question whoes answer seems at the moment is just !!!
To Wait in a long long lines for signals to open & round abouts to clear and move like insects'' haha

Im sure many of you maybe fed up with this problem....???

Anyways my suggestion is to build more and more small underpasses in all the famous signals in which traffic is in bulk so that peoples who wana go straight do have to wait in signals and went through underpasses straight without any distrotion & also build small bridges on signals or on round abouts if possible... though its a very difficult task but if one by one they start constructing this than it will really solve the problem a lot...
-------------------------------
That was my suggestion whats yours to control this traffic???

The ways to reduce congesstion on roads are to be done in a massive & dynamic way. The present roads are not designed to carry heavy traffic situation. We have to study the overall situation in Qatar, and they implement new system of roads and traffic lights to move in a synchronized way.

I can suggest some good ways to reorgnaise Traffic :

1. Design the Specific Route System for each type of Travel and create a Parallel way also to handle emergency.

Eg. Doha Sea Port to Industrial Area - Make a Truck Road connection Industial Area Street 37 or 50 to Corciche Road thru Wakra & connect to the New Road, which can have Truck Traffic 24/7.

Also connect Vegetable/Fish market road to Truck Road.

2. Ramada Signal should have an underpass road similar like in Dubai Clock Tower, near Maktoum bridge to handle all time vechicle movements.

3. Make exit road system to Parallel roads incase of accidents or route change. Use underpasses the best ways as done in Dubai - Al Ain Road.

3. Build Fly overs in busy junctions & Cross Roads. Build a Flyover in Al Watan R/a., Parachute Signal, Crazy Signal, Al Waab Signal, Qtel Signal Jaidah Fly over to redesign to move traffic freely from all directions.

2. Build Parking centres and Pedestrial Underpasses in all the busy roads, instead of big high rise buildings & shopping malls. Shopping Malls should be Decentralised from City like in Villageo.

Traffic can be improved taking the following points in mind:

1- Use of school busses instead of privet cars.

2- Alternate between cars with Odd and even plate numbers to run on different days, i.e. plats end with Odd number can run on Sun, Tue and Thu, and plates end with even numbers can run on Sat, Mon and Wed.

3- Make a loop highway around Doha, with certain exits and few points.

This is only my opinion

i think express higways will also not solve the traffic flow problem as we have seen in Dubai,

the only solution is a well desgned and spread network of train under ground or above as in Dubai, or as in westrn countries..

that is the final and a very good solutions for poeple movement easily and safly.

We can only wait for the Doha Expressway to get completed. It would link almost all of Doha Major Roads without any intersection or Round About.....involves only Underpasses & Flyovers. That is the best solution to avoid traffic congestions by having these under passes & flyovers and letting the traffic move smoothly.
