ARE THEY TWO NAMES OF THE SAME MILITARY BASE OR THEY ARE INDEED TWO BASES EACH ONE STANDING FOR ITSELF.

There are two base one Al-Sayliyyah and the other is Al-Udayd.

One is Army, the other is Air Force not Navy. The Naval base is in Bahrain.

run by 2 different military units (one is Navy, one is army)

They are not the same. My friends get home sooner from Camp AlSaliya (sp?) and from what I hear from them, both are run by different branches of the military and have separate runways...
