Advice for American on cost of living comparison.

Hello,

I am an American Muslim living in America. My husband is from Egypt and works here and makes good money but his current job just offered him a 2 year post in Qatar. How much should the salary be in QR to live like an average middle class American lifestyle? Like including, groceries (American brands- Heinz, Kraft, Jiff peanut butter) and eating out in restaurants, and living in a villa not apartment? Also, I have 2 kids, 1 school aged.
Like I said my husband makes good money here but we pay a lot of taxes here and interest on loans and things like mortgage and credit cards and car payments aand student loans. So basically, we do not save any money monthly if anything, we are struggling! You know, the American Dream! :) LOL! He will only take the new position if we can earn some tax free savings for our two kids to be able to go to good schools when they grow up.

Any advice is welcomed thanks!

First of all ask for this

1. the company should offer the appartment, Villa or whatever, DO NOT ACCEPT housing allownce

2. the company should pay school fees, not less 20.000 per year for the one

3. salary between 12.000-18.000 will be fine (teacher or employee)

more for Eng.

Inshala i did answer
