About Work contract

I got a job in Work visa and the company had sent a contract copy which they asked to sign and send I had already signed and in which is it required to get the copy signed by them also prior to joining or is it not required.

I am in India and through email my signed copy had gone but what about the copy which is signed by the company also when that would be ready will they give the contract copy photo copy to us normally or not?
